We admit we were a bit sidetracked with Fashion Month (NYFW, London Fashion Week, etc.) and have not been honoring The Fashion Law Interview Series. We left off with accessories designer extraordinaire, Sang A, and this week, we are back with a vengeance. We have none-other-than style EXPERT, Suze Yalof Schwartz, who until a couple of years ago, was the Executive Fashion Editor at Large of Glamour Magazine and is now a curators at one of our favorite sites OpenSky.com.

My favorite trends right now: From the NYC runways, the belt – thick, thin – the idea of belting everything and anything is modern, chic and now!

Some important wardrobe staples: There are so many. Here are my top 10 –

1.     A striped shirt – Love the Chance shirt. It is skinny cotton and the perfect fit.

2.     The nude patent wedge –Love wedges, love skin tones shoes – they make the legs look endless and wedges look amazing with skinny jeans.

3.     A chic cross body bag – Great for shopping and looks rich!

4.     A large gold hoop, either with pave or without.

5.     A LWD (little white dress) for summer.

6.     A pair of white jeans – Perfect for summer and goes with everything.

7.     A tan skinny belt with a covered buckle.

8.     A gold link bracelet – Love Verdura.

9.     The perfect navy blazer with gold buttons – Short and fitted.
10.  A long camel cardigan.

I wouldn’t be caught dead in: Faded cropped mid-calf jeans. Ewwww!

When in doubt, wear: A DRESS – Better to overdress than underdress.

My favorite emerging designer: I love a designer in Paris named Andrew Gyn. When you try on his clothes you feel the quality and his Parisian aesthetic is perfection. But truth be told, it changes every season!

The ultimate fashion moments in my career so far: I have had so many huge moments – being on Oprah, The View, CNN, etc. Dressing Robin Roberts for the Oscars (she is so beautiful inside and out). Being in every taxi cab with Lord & Taylor. Making over everyone from a rabbi to Iraqi troops for glamour. Being on the red carpet for the Oscars. There really are too many to say!
