Serge Mouille Three-Arm Floor Lamp

Designed by Serge Mouille

Serge Mouille designed his angular, insect-like lights as "a reaction to the Italian models that were beginning to invade the market in 1950," which he criticized for being "too complicated." His large-scale Three-Arm Floor Lamp (1952) has a kinetic, sculptural aesthetic that evokes a sense of movement in space. All of the arms can be rotated in various directions, allowing for ample, well-directed lighting for any task. Mouille designed the Three-Arm Lamp for a client whose instructions were simply, "I want a big light because I have clients in South America who have huge rooms." All of his lighting solutions feature Mouille's hallmark signatures as a designer: the way the arms are joined to the diffusers, the washer and six-sided screw hardware, the form of the reflectors, and the refined lines of the steel tubing. Bulb (not included): 75W/E26. Made in France.

• Shades are produced using the original molds, proportions, materials and techniques.
• Each lamp is stamped and numbered.

 A steel fireplace, painted black, hangs from the ceiling of a Victorian-­era home in South Africa, which was given an update by architect Antonio Zaninovic and decorator Yelda Bayraktar. The living area features a wraparound concrete bench, a zebra-skin rug, and a captain’s chair by Brazilian designer Jean Gillon.

Brown + Green + Black= a Fab Breakfast Nook

I love when someone has the guts to mix off colors (brown, green and black) and crazy  wall paper! The result is superb! This is where my friend Lisa (who is beyond gorgeous) and her two gorgeous little daughters's spill cereal. Heaven.

RIP Room In Progress - Blackboard Paint

I have ALWAYS wanted to paint a blackboard wall in my boys room and I am so happy I did - It looks great! Now all I need are the big letters, some new lamps and new curtains and we are good to go.

Coolest paint EVER! Whiteboard walls.

Remember when you were not allowed to write on the walls?   Idea Paint is a white paint (although it comes in other colors) that you can apply to any wall or smooth surface to create a dry- erase wall.   I'm obsessed - what about you?
