Memories

I grew up loving these - My mom had heart shaped silver sipping straws and I would not drink without them.  What was your favorite kitchen thing when you were growing up?

  1. I had a special little teacup that I used for tea with my grandmother when I was little. I also loved the plastic straws that had a teddy bear face part-way up that filled up with liquid as you sucked the straw. :)

  2. My great grandmother had an outdoor kitchen by the pool and she had those multi-colored aluminum tumblers - remember those? They made your drink taste funny but they were so cool!

  3. My mom had extra tall glasses/ bowls for ice-cream sodas and milkshakes. They had white etched polka dots and those heart spoons would be great with them.

  5. My grandmother used to have these glass tea cups that I've never seen anywhere else. Thinking back, they were pretty retro. I don't think she ever knew how stylish and unique her crockery was. It used to fascinate me watching the milk change the colour of the tea from the side.
