I had a special little teacup that I used for tea with my grandmother when I was little. I also loved the plastic straws that had a teddy bear face part-way up that filled up with liquid as you sucked the straw. :)
ReplyDeleteMy great grandmother had an outdoor kitchen by the pool and she had those multi-colored aluminum tumblers - remember those? They made your drink taste funny but they were so cool!

My mom had extra tall glasses/ bowls for ice-cream sodas and milkshakes. They had white etched polka dots and those heart spoons would be great with them.

ReplyDeleteHey Suze, I'm in Australia writing a story set in New York & there are a few little details I need to find out from time to time about the way things are done in NY & I was wondering if I could ask you them as I dont know anyone else from NY! They wld be very short & quick?
ReplyDeleteThanks. Roz
My grandmother used to have these glass tea cups that I've never seen anywhere else. Thinking back, they were pretty retro. I don't think she ever knew how stylish and unique her crockery was. It used to fascinate me watching the milk change the colour of the tea from the side.
