  3. I like Caddie Woodlawn and Anne of Green Gables paired with Talmage's Jesus the Christ. Whose bookshelf is this?

  4. I did this about 6 months ago and wow so liberating! My bookshelf now reminds me of the library; I love it! And they actually smell better: more musky library-ish!

  5. It is funny, I actually had the opposite reaction. For the bookshelf in our living room, I tried that, but it became too dark for my taste. Many of my book jackets are lighter in color (or at least the spines) and the actual book was not. I love the idea in theory, but for me it was just an exercise in how to lose a few hours.

Hopefully though someday I can put it into practice, because I do love the idea!

  6. I've done this with some of my books but not all since some of the dust covers are prettier than the actual book cover itself. I haven't gone as far as to recover books with kraft paper, etc but I think that could work mixed in as well. :)
