Like my matching chairs I am finding my matching pillows on my couch to look stale - So how to mix it sans overkill? Here are some good examples.

Better Off Clashing

I am totally over my matching diningroom chairs it just feels so passe no? I like the idea of clashing your chairs on purpose - It's much more interesting visually although casual. I never like to entertain formally it's just not as much fun. What's your take on it?

A slice of my silly thought process.

So many things going on - a dinner party for 12 on Friday. Small issue, don't cook and don't have time....And my house is being photographed next week. Between these two things everything I am missing keeps popping out at me like a red flag. After reading House Beautiful - I realize that I need to have two sets of pillows on each couch that clash slightly. I am definitely leaning towards Ikat Available at Fabricadabra for $40 each

unless anyone wants to stop me because it's so over - can't help still love. I searching for the perfect end tables for my bedroom I realize that the only one that makes sense is the one that Venessa from Turquoise has in her bedroom. Does ANYONE out there know where I can find it - I am desperate. I love the Lucite clear end table that feels invisible but that you can stack a ton of books inside and make it look sculptural.

Of course in searching for this I ran into this divine Lucite backgammon table that I now can't stop dreaming of. From First Dibs
And Why Have I not yet bought That Fiddle Leaf fig tree that would just make my apartment And Oh did I mention that fabulous restaurant that I went to that had 100 fresh wash clothes in the bathroom for drying your hands in a perfect little tray. OY!
So Have to boogie because I am on GMA this morning talking about cheap dresses. Segment at 8:45 and my makeup guy is kicking me off the computer. Just a slice of Life.

When I am invited to someones home I usually bring a gift, - a scented candle or a bottle of wine - BORING! Flipping through House Beautiful I found my next go to gift- Archie Grand Notebooks They are so fabulouse when stacked.

I love the surprise of ceiling drama - don't you ? My husband is not a huge fan but would be too easy to put it up in the bathroom - hmmmm.
