Open Sky ... Love it!

Sorry for being MIA but I was in NYC and having to much fun to post.  I am not sure if you have heard of this web site called Open Sky but it is an obsession for me! Basically you get to pick ten cool people to follow and every few days they recommend their favorite things - I love looking at the recommendations  and this morning I bought a Dorie Greenspan recommendation. This is truly for the girl that has everything no?
Letter from Dorie:

As much as I adore eggs – and I’m crazy about them – I don’t think they really live up to their reputation as “Nature’s most perfect food.”  If eggs were perfect, it wouldn’t be so hard to neatly cut the tops off delicious soft- and hard-boiled eggs.  Sure, you can tap them with a knife or the edge of a spoon, have them crack all higgledy-piggledy and be picking out bits of shell the whole time you’re eating the egg, but what’s the fun in that?  None.  Which is why the Rösle Egg Topper is such a great tool.  It’s a single-purpose tool that’s designed singularly well to do its one job.

If it were placed in the center of your table, you might not know what to do with it.  But as soon as an egg appears, all is instantly revealed.  The oval-shaped half-dome fits snuggly on top of the egg.  Lift the handle, let it drop and presto-chango the edges of the dome cut a neat little cap off the top of the egg.  If the egg is soft-boiled, you’ll have just the opening you need to dip in slender toast fingers, aka soldiers; if it’s hard-boiled, you can just dig in with your mini spoon.  (View the recipe for Tasty Dippable Toast Soldiers below).

Think of the egg topper as Nature’s little helper – in one fell swoop it removes the only obstacle that stands between the egg and perfection.
