The most comfortable sleeper sofa in America Found
My mother found the most comfortable sleeper sofa in America after testing too many to count. She had a personal interest as she will be sleeping on it in my new house in Cali. It has a temperpedic matress and though I am not a huge curved arm fan - I want mom and the in-laws to be happy when they visit me.
And the sofa is..... drum roll please.... The Queen Carlton sleeper sofa from Crate and Barrel with a temperpedic mattress. YAY and I am getting it in Navy! Since the other furniture in the room is white I wanted to finally go for the Valentino Capri Vibe. Thinking pillows any suggestions?

Thank you for the heads up this is great info, Kathysue
ReplyDeleteI like the couch....and at least if its from a C&B, should anything go wrong, you can at least go to a show room and figure it out. As for pillows, I am lusting after ikat at the moment and I think ikat goes 110% with your Valentino Capri vibe. I would then also throw in a chevron print to make sure it didn't carry over to be ethnic overload.

ReplyDeleteHello Suze: I linked to your blog on a post that I did on Lilly Pulitzer on my blog Reggie Darling. Hope you get some new readers as a result. Thanks, Reggie
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up. We are moving too and will have one less bedroom in our new house so I am in the market for a good sleeper sofa for my office for when we need more than one guest room. Will have to check this out!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recommendation. Sofa sleepers are the toughest (and we are all kinds of unhappy with our CB2 Lubi Daybed, so welcome tested recommendations!). Please update us once you get it and test it out!

good to know. I like it.yes, I wish they had a square arm version. we do not have a guestroom, so right now we get to sleep on an air mattress when we have company.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of the comments!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE reading them.
ReplyDeletei was going to tell you about this couch when you were looking at three options a few wks ago. i tried this couch the day before i gave birth at C&B. It was unbelievably comfortable, and that says a lot considering how enormous i was. so glad you found it!
ReplyDeleteHi. I would like to buy this sofa and have visited it many times at C&B already! But just read this customer review of the sleeper version and am wondering if you've had any of the same issues. Thanks in advance!
ReplyDelete"Four thousand dollars is a whole lot of money to have spent on something we do not love. We took delivery just before we had house guests, and athough our visitors enjoyed several very comfy nights on the mattress, they are gone now and we find ourselves tucking the seat cushion anchors in numerous times each evening. The seat cushions do NOT stay anchored and they slide forward ALL THE TIME. It drives us crazy!!! We are considering moving this sofa to another room where it will get less use and moving our beat-up old sofa in its place. That sofa has lost its "spring," but at least the seat cushions stay put. We give the Carlton five stars for the comfy mattress but only two for the sofa itself, especially since it will be used for sleeping only once or twice per year. We do not have enough room in our house to designate a "sleeper-only" sofa. This sofa is a huge disappointment."
Nice sharing! Does it available in Microfiber?
ReplyDeleteHI

ReplyDeleteWe have had the exact same problem with the sliding seat cushions. We use this sofa daily and the cushions are a real pain. They have to be pushed back into place nearly everytime that one gets up from the sofa. To be fair, we have never contacted Crate and Barrel for a solution.
I can atest, however, it is VERY comfortable to sleep on. Sadly that's not it's primary purpose.
